THIS IS OUR CHANGE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Young people need a helping hand to gain the right skills and opportunities to make the best decision for their future, whether that is in education or getting a foothold in the job market. With only a quarter of young people sticking with education beyond 16 and a youth unemployment rate of 15 per cent in London, more needs to be done to help young people grow their future prospects.

This is a situation we can do something about at Workspace. With locations across the capital that are home to some of London’s brightest businesses, we can offer a fascinating introduction to the world of work.

Our new programme, Growth, aims to do just that, and improve the prospects of young people across London.

provide internships, apprenticeships, and paid placements, making up at least 5% of our workforce.

100

Young entrepreneurs are the lifeblood of business. We’ll support more than 100 dynamic young enterprises with start-up advice and business mentoring.

Growing London's future potential

We are home to more than 4,000 of the most dynamic businesses in the capital, run by some of London's brightest and most promising entrepreneurs. Our plan is to tap into this incredible wealth of experience and enthusiasm to help equip young people with the skills they need to enter the world of work.

Along with our own employees and customers, all of whom share a strong ethos of helping others, we can support disadvantaged Londoners in their journey to the world with work by providing bespoke master classes, mentoring programs and tailored opportunities.

Together,  we can equip the next generation with the skills and confidence needed to succeed in today’s competitive job market. Along the way, we aim to provide the spark of inspiration for a new wave of entrepreneurs.

Inspires Me Careers Fair

WE've already kicked things off

Last year, we teamed up with education charity Future Frontiers to help some brilliant Year 10 students start thinking big about their futures.

We welcomed 12 students into our offices for a hands-on mentoring programme with our team. Over the course of a few weeks, they explored their strengths, matched them to real career paths, and left feeling more confident about what’s next.

100% of the students said they now have a clearer idea of how to achieve their goals – and our mentors loved it too. A win-win all round!

"The sessions I had with my student were super rewarding; it was a privilege watching them open up and become more confident talking to me, as well as figuring out what it is they are interested in"
