Sign up to one of two Workshops at The Leather Market on September 26 from 1.:00pm to 3.00pm or from 3:30pm to 5:30pm.
The Leather Market, Weston Street, Bermondsey, London, SE1 3ER
Too often busy owners of growing businesses don’t realise that help is out there, and often it’s being given away for free. There are plenty of ways you can inject value into your company without having to relinquish equity.
The Informed Funding workshop will give you the opportunity to consult experts, discuss with other business owners and explore new avenues for finance or support that you’d otherwise pay for.
For example, local authorities, universities and the government have lots of schemes to help SMEs grow. There are tax and R&D credits your business can benefit from; local enterprise grants often supply free office space and logistical support; while universities like Brunel hold engineering workshops for commercial enterprises. We’ll be taking a look at the below and more:
- Innovation grants
- R&D tax credits
- Local enterprise grants and partnerships
- Mentorship programmes (and finding Non-Exec Directors)
- Tax relief
- Crowdfunding opportunities
It’s important to remember that often these schemes have strict eligibility requirements. It’s vital to ensure your business has the right legal and financial setup to take advantage of these opportunities.
