Finding skilled developers is a challenge faced by many companies today, equally many junior developers want to level up and continue to grow. Is there a mutually beneficial solution?

To get to handle on this challenge, a panel of specialists will debate the topic and answer questions from the floor:

Steve Alexander, Senior VP of Technology at Ascential, a Fortune 250 Company.  Steve has experience building an in-house development team, including junior developers.

Sam Morgan, Head of Education at Makers Academy. Sam oversees the training that has taken over 1000 developers on a journey from their first line of code to entering the jobs market.

Sroop Sunar, Developer at Peg. Sroop has first hand experience learning to code, getting her first job as a junior developer and now works as Artisanal Software Sculptor.

Chad Pytel, CEO, thoughtbot. Chad has built apprentice.io, an open source framework to aid companies wanting to accelerate the learning of their junior developers.

Maria Khait, Organiser and Coach, Rails Girls, London. Maria regularly runs sessions helping hundreds of women looking to learn and improve their coding skill.

Following the panel discussion, there will be plenty of time to meet and chat with other like-minded individuals.  Both the attendees and the speakers are welcome to stay and connect over nutritious refreshments, craft beer and wine
