Sustainability

Driving forward our Environmental, Social and Governance agenda is a top priority for Workspace. As a long-term owner of historic properties across the city, we play a key role in the employment-led regeneration of areas all over London. We take seriously our responsibility to positively impact local communities, while reducing our impact on the environment.

ENabling a Fairer, flatter london

Socio-Economic Report 2025

Workspace's 2025 socio-economic report draws on detailed research and surveys to assess our impact on local employment, small businesses, neighbourhood resilience, economic vibrancy, and environmental performance.

The findings demonstrate that Workspace creates measurable value for local people, businesses, and the wider London economy – helping to build a fairer, flatter London. Fairer, by creating accessible, affordable spaces where more people can participate in the city’s success. Flatter, by expanding opportunity beyond the centre, supporting enterprise and community in the boroughs where it’s most needed.

OUR COMMITMENT TO BECOME A NET ZERO CARBON BUSINESS

We are also a signatory to Better Buildings Partnership’s (BBP) Climate Commitment and have published our net zero pathway, quantifying our emissions and outlining our decarbonisation trajectory.

This trajectory is informed by our 1.5°C aligned science-based targets. We are in the process of revising our emissions reduction targets to be in line with the updated net zero standard from the Science Based Targets initiative, continuing with our unwavering commitment to become a net zero carbon business.
