Kennington is very well served by the underground with the Northern line taking you into Central London within 15 minutes. The area’s transport infrastructure is continuing to receive investment, with a brand new cycle superhighway set to open before the end of 2015, connecting Oval to Pimlico. While London Waterloo is technically not inside the SE11 postcode, it’s still close enough to be a benefit for commuters.
Despite its relative proximity to Central London and the West End, Kennington successfully manages to retain a leafy, village feel, with the green expanse of Kennington Park characterising the area for young people and families. It’s also an area with a sporting heritage as it’s the home to The Kia Oval, home of Surrey Cricket Club and regular England international cricket matches.
Aside from its direct transport links to London’s inner-city, the SE11 region boasts quick road access outside of the capital. The A2 and A23 trunk roads allow businesses to quickly reach the South East and the South via the M20, M23 and M25 motorways.
