What are cookies?

Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information which are downloaded to your device when you visit a website. Cookies are then sent back to the originating web domain on your subsequent visits to that domain. Most web pages contain elements from multiple web domains so when you visit the Website, your browser may receive cookies from several sources.

Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognise a user’s device. Cookies allow you to navigate between pages efficiently, remember preferences and generally improve the user experience. They can also be used to tailor advertising to your interests through tracking your browsing across websites.

Session cookies are deleted automatically when you close your browser and persistent cookies remain on your device after the browser is closed (for example to remember your user preferences when you return to the site).

Workspace Group plc We use Google Analytics to collect information about visitor behaviour on our website. Google Analytics stores information about what pages you visit, how long you are on the site, how you got here and what you click on. This Analytics data is collected via a JavaScript tag in the pages of our site and is not tied to personally identifiable information. This information is only available to us at a group level, with no personal or identifiable information contained within it. It is used only for us to evaluate the effectiveness of the website and see how different groups of visitors use and respond to the site, and in no way allows us to track people individually. Workspace Group plc What sort of cookies does Qualaroo use?
We use first-party cookies, so the only cookies we store are on the domain that you install the code on. All of our cookies store anonymous information about the visitor: a random UID (to count them as unique) and a two other cookies that track visits and survey views. In regards to being COPPA compliant, Our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy are structured in such a way that any information that is collected by the surveyor is subject to the customer's own ToS and Privacy Policy. In other words, if the creators of a website already state in their ToS and Privacy Policy that personal information is collected, then this also covers their use of Qualaroo and our cookies.
The reason we structure our policies in this way, is because there is nothing that stops our customers from creating a survey that asks a visitor's name, age, address, etc.
Our cookies are set to expire automatically after 5 years, which is a standard and common length of time. (ki_u - These cookies, provided by Qualaroo Inc., are used for their embedded in-page survey application so that we can gather and make best use of customer feedback and ensure that you do not see a survey you have completed again and again.)

HTML email web beacons

Our emails may contain a single, campaign-unique “web beacon pixel” to tell us whether our emails are opened and verify any clicks through to links within the email. We may use this information for purposes including determining which of our emails are more interesting to you, to query whether users who do not open our emails wish to continue receiving them. The pixel will be deleted when you delete the email. If you do not wish the pixel to be downloaded to your device, you should select to receive emails from us in plain text rather than HTML.
