We're more than half way through InspiresMe Week where students have been interning at businesses based in Workspace as part of an initiative organised by Workspace, the Greater London Authority and Business in the Community. We've been documenting their progress and we caught up with Junel who's working at digital startup BuddyBounce who are based at Pill Box.

We're more than half way through InspiresMe Week where students have been interning at businesses based in Workspace as part of an initiative organised by Workspace, the Greater London Authority and Business in the Community. We've been documenting their progress and we caught up with Junel who's working at digital startup BuddyBounce who are based at PillBox.

As part of his InspiresMe Week, 18-year-old Junel from Ponders End, joined BuddyBounce, a platform which allows music artists to engage with their super fans. They’re based at Pill Box in Bethnal Green. He’s studying Media and Double IT at Nightingale Academy for his A-Levels. He tells us a little more about himself and about what he’s been up to at BuddyBounce.
 
What did you think before starting the internship?
 
I was excited to get the opportunity to work in a company that focused on my interests - music and producing.
 
Tell us a little about the business for which you’ve been interning
 
The business is called BuddyBounce and it helps fans connect with their favourite artists. For the past couple days I have been working along side my buddies. I have given them suggestions on how to improve their company and their website. I've also been taken to meet artists in order to film them being interviewed and performing. I have worked with footage editors and seen how they edit footage in order to be published to YouTube.
 
Best bits?
 
The best part of my work experience was going to shoot the interview with celebrities for the company.
 
What have you learn so far?
 
I have learnt that sometimes you have to be really patient when trying to reach your goal, and that sometimes you have to take baby steps before you take giant leaps.
